Pickleball Blue League 5/17/23 thru 8/30/23

Blue League will run from May 17, 2023 thru August 30, 2023. 
(12 weeks) ***During the time Roman is gone, you can use the league time as an open play.  Roman will be gone on May 31, June 7*, 14, 21, 2023.

NOTE:  *June 7 has a different event starting at 5 p.m so Open Play style league will be from 4 to 5 p.m. only! 

Wednesday Nights:  4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.  at the Lighthouse Oceanfront Resort Tennis/Pickleball Center

Additional Blue League Clinic each week on Sunday from 11 a.m. - Noon. 
**There is a $10 fee for each clinic/practice and you need to pay that at the front desk prior to participating.  

The blue league is for players with skills equal to 3.0 - 3.9.  Here is the definition of a 3.0 player from the USA Pickleball Definition.  

FOREHAND:
Ability to hit a medium paced shot. Lacks directional intent and consistency.

BACKHAND:
Avoids using a backhand. Lacks directional intent and consistency.

SERVE / RETURN:
Able to hit a medium paced shot. Lacks depth, direction, and consistency.

DINK:
Not able to consistently sustain a dink rally. Not yet developed the ability to control this shot.

3RD SHOT:
Generally hits a medium paced ball with little direction.

VOLLEY:
Able to hit a medium paced shot. Lacks direction/inconsistent.

STRATEGY:
Understands fundamentals. Is learning proper court positioning. Knows the fundamental rules and can keep score and is now playing tournaments.
